Sunk Punk Shakespeare
Performed at the British House, Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro, August 2016
Would Shakespeare have embraced punk? He certainly liked mischief, mayhem, colourful insults and daring dress-up. To celebrate 400 years since Shakespeare’s death-day plus 40 years of punk rock, our performers are letting Will’s inner Johnny Rotten out to play.
Our immersive artists have been invited to the British House in Rio to present Sunk Punk Shakespeare as part of an extravaganza to share the best of British contemporary culture and literary heritage with the world. Other British institutions taking part include the Science Museum, the Royal Opera House, Shakespeare’s Globe and NT Live.The event was curated by Anna Maloney from the Culture Team at Mayor of London Office. Anna said “I was delighted to ask the salon:collective to perform at British House. They are fantastic collective and I wanted to share their talent and creativity with Rio audience. I was extremely proud to show Rio the taste of London.”

Tube to Rio
Party hard with your Travelcard!
Our artists performed Tube to Rio at the British House in Rio. Mind the gap: London Underground is coming to Rio, Team GB and TFL are the fastest things on the tracks. As London Mayor Sadiq Khan said at the launch of Made in London, ‘London is still the best place in the world for business, creativity and innovation - London Is Open’.

Master and The Cats
To find your inner animal, you need to visit the Three Worlds of Master and the Cats:
1. Listen for the Master’s Cleansing Trance drum and follow the cats into ancient Persia.
2. Join Cat Geisha for the Tea Ceremony.
3. Let your feline friends guide you to your inner animal and howl at the Sun before the Master sends you on your way.
This immersive performance with music and dance offers you a half-hour experience in the middle of the wonderland of the festival. How do you get on board for the journey? Wander around the green fields and listen for the drum.

The Radical Dandy Animal Inteligentsia Salon
MEDIA
An ensemble of actors providing character-led performances at an out-of-this-world tea party. Audience members gather round the Dandy Animals in small groups for a cup of Earl Grey and perhaps a biscuit or scone. Be prepared for lively debates on all manner of topics, wordplay, impromptu games and even a sonnet or song. The more intrepid guests might be gently encouraged to join the Dandy Animals in a scratch performance. Dandy Animals are regular at Wilderness festival in Oxfordshire and famous London Goat Race. This year you can find them at London Citadel Festival.

Morning Angels & The Glorriors

Morning Angels and the Glorrior's were a regular walkabout act at the global event Morning Gloryville. Morning Angels greet the audience with their warm hugs and welcoming performances. The Glorriors are there to remind everyone about their spiritual and physical wellbeing. The Morning Angels went to Edinburgh 2014 and were hosting sober Morning Rave at the famous McEwan Hall with Underbelly, they went to Bestival, Innocent Festival and were regular acts at West London Mode, East London Oval Space and Ministry of Sound.
